Hi!  Let me say right off that I'm a complete doofus about these social network things, having just discovered

them in the last couple months, mainly as a result of Stalker fitting so nicely into Joomlapraise templates. 

So my lack of understanding is fairly broad.  The problem I'm having is that the username I enter for

facebook, in the link definitions in the stalker plugin, creates a url that looks like this:

http://www.facebook.com/Andria Duncan

but that link doesn't work, despite that my username on Facebook is in fact my full name, Andria Duncan. 

It causes a 404 error on facebook.  I've tried a few variations, but nothing I do with this URL in Stalker results

in a functional URL to my actual facebook page.  I don't really know what the url would be, to get my facebook

page; anytime I'm on my facebook site, I'm logged in, and the urls are relative, and php-heavy, so I can't

puzzle out what the actual url would be.  And I'm really not usually this dumb about things like this, but I don't

know a real lot of php.

Sorry for the general ignorance, and I sure hope someone can help me figure this out, because I've gotten

somewhat addicted to Facebook.  :)

Hi Andrea,

When you signed up for Facebook you should have been asked to specify a username.  Your name on Facebook will be Andria Duncan, but your username would be something else.  If you log into Facebook, and then choose Account Settings from the Account menu in the top right, it should show your username on the second option down.  That's what you need to enter in the Facebook Id field.

Well.  That does present a problem, since, when I click the "username" link it tells me that I have to

verify my acct before I can have a username; unfortunately, it never sends the text msg containing the code

I need to enter in order to verify my acct.  I have no idea why not.  I think I've requested it about 3 times

now, and it says you have a limit of 5 requests, after which I can email them and try to get more support.

Of course I'm not going to hold my breath on that, so what I may do is leave facebook off the stalker config,

and include the code they provide for their little "share on facebook" icon.

Via text message -- which is a bit of a problem for me, since I don't have a cell phone (I never go anywhere, so I have no earthly use for one).  I was trying to use my husband's, since he's not on Facebook, and I know he received txt msgs from one of his friends, so his phone is capable.  I've requested the code 5 times now, and his phone never chirped, so I guess I have to pursue whatever tech support may be available from Facebook.  As I said, I'm not going to hold my breath on that, but you never know, maybe they actually read and respond to "help me!" requests.
