Download JoomPing

1. Download the JoomPing package
2. Unzip the downloaded file
3. Login to your Joomla Administrator, click on Extensions and then Install/Uninstall.
4. Under 'Upload Package File', browse to the folder where you unzipped the downloaded file, select the com_joomping and click 'Upload File & Install'
5. Repeat the above, this time selecting the mod_joomping file

Setting up JoomPing

1. Go to the 'Menus' menu, and choose 'Main Menu'. This should show you the 'Menu Item Manager' screen
2. Click NEW and choose JoomPing as the Menu Type
3. Give the new Menu Item a title, and an alias, joomping should be sufficient for the alias.  On the right, under Basic Parameters, change number of pings to display to 30 or whatever you want.  Before you Save the details, copy the LINK field, it'll say something like "index.php?option=com_joomping"
4. You now need to go and log into your Ping.fm account
5. Choose "Add More Networks", and then choose CustomURL.   In the field provided, enter your full URL...: http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_joomping
6. Now try and send a ping. If all is well, when you return to your site, and click the Menu Item you created above, you should see the Ping you just sent
7. If everything is working correctly, you should now be able to add the module to your pages, and the latest 'n' pings will be displayed (where n is set in the module manager)
8. You can delete test 'Pings' using the JoomPing Component option in your Joomla Admin system
